Thanks to everyone who got involved in our recent fundraising event in Didsbury. We had a fantastic evening raising money for a wonderful charity, Tommy’s.

The glitzy event, on 1st December, included a two-course meal with fizz from Gusto’s festive menu, a fabulous fashion show by Kjole Boutique, live music by Samantha Siddall, a shopping showcase from local independent businesses and a raffle and auction.

The raffle and auction raised £2000 which was then doubled to £4000!

In total, including our JustGiving page, you helped us raise an outstanding £6250 for Tommy’s!

Tommy’s funds vital research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth. It is the largest charity in the UK carrying out research into the causes of miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth. Thanks to the support of fundraisers, Tommy’s is able to carry out more than £2 million worth of ground-breaking research every year from 4 UK research centres, including at St Mary’s Hospital in Manchester.

To celebrate our launch, we sent a fleet of classic Mini Coopers around the City delivering Gusto Italian signature pizzas.

The scenes evoked the iconic 1969 hit film the Italian Job in an event that really did blow the doors off across Oxford! We even enlisted the help of Strictly Come Dancing star, Giovanni Pernice.

We were approached by a loyal customer about holding the event after they sadly suffered the loss of their baby in 2021. We hope that the funds and awareness raised from this event will help this amazing charity to continue its vital work.
