We are proud to announce that Gusto Italian has arrived in Oxford making quite an impact! Situated in the Old Mitre Building on the High Street our brand-new restaurant offers a modern look whilst retaining some of the original features of the historical building.

After an extensive refurbishment, we have created a stylish, contemporary restaurant with an open-plan Theatre Kitchen and Chef’s Table Pizza Experience. There is also a stunning cocktail lounge serving mouth-watering aperitifs to enjoy before your meal. Upstairs, you’ll find a 55-cover dining room which is perfect for your private party or event.

To celebrate our launch, we sent a fleet of classic Mini Coopers around the City delivering Gusto Italian signature pizzas.

The scenes evoked the iconic 1969 hit film the Italian Job in an event that really did blow the doors off across Oxford! We even enlisted the help of Strictly Come Dancing star, Giovanni Pernice.

The BAFTA-winning Sicilian dancer assisted Gusto Italian chefs to deliver pizza and prosecco to shoppers, local businesses, key workers and emergency services.

Visiting Oxford City Football Club, Oxford Bus Company, the police and fire services and the Oxford Business Park, the Minis then made a very special stop at the MINI plant in Cowley – the home of the Mini!

Gusto Italian CEO Matt Snell said: “Oxford, as the home of the Mini, was the perfect place for us to reenact the ‘Italian Job’. It was exciting to partner with Giovanni on this and we were thrilled with the overwhelmingly positive response we received from members of the public and local businesses. “

Gusto Italian is now open at The Mitre, High St, Oxford OX1 4AG for lunch, dinner and mouth-watering cocktails, 7 days a week.
